Hello

My name is Lorenzo Watson-Lamarche. I am from Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Peoria, Illinois, during my early childhood, where I spent most of my upbringing. I graduated from Peoria High School and went on to attend Aurora University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance. I later obtained my Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

I have a background in public accounting, which helped shape my perspective on real-world financial systems and strengthened my passion for financial literacy and youth development. I am committed to using my knowledge, experience, and platform to educate, mentor, and empower the next generation to build confidence and long-term success in their lives.

Our Story

Founded in 2020, our organization was born from Lorenzo’s personal experiences growing up in Chicago and Peoria, Illinois, where he recognized gaps in access to educational and youth resources within the community. These early experiences shaped his perspective on the importance of opportunity to help students reach their full potential.

While pursuing his undergraduate studies at Aurora University, Lorenzo began developing the foundation for this organization, driven by a desire to create meaningful change. Seeing the need for greater support, guidance, and opportunity, he set out to turn that vision into reality. What began as an idea in college has grown into an initiative focused on equipping young people with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to build brighter futures.
